About the Exam:
The
Commission's licensing examinations are administered by Pearson
Vue. Applicants must apply for licensing with the Louisiana Real
Estate Commission. After submitting your application you will
receive an email from Pearson Vue allowing you to register for
the exam. The cost of the exam is $78 and the LREC license fee is
$90.

The exam is a two part multiple-choice exam. The 80-question "National" portion addresses information of a general nature such as contracts, real estate ownership, financing sources, valuation and agency. The 55 question "State Specific" portion covers information unique to Louisiana, including Louisiana Civil Code, Louisiana Agency Law, Louisiana Real Estate Commision Rules and Regulations.
Items You Must Bring
with You to the Exam:
- 2 forms of identification with signatures (one must be a government-issued photo identification)
Note: You may not take any personal items with you into the testing area.
Score Required to
Pass the Exam:
A score
of 70% or better is required on the "National" and 75% or
better on the "Louisiana" portions to receive your Louisiana
Real Estate Salesperson License.
Exam
Results:
The exam
is administered on a desktop computer system that eliminates the
use of paper and pencil answer sheets. You will receive your
score report by email upon completion of the exam.
