Appraiser Requirements
To become a licensed appraiser trainee, you must complete 75 hours of instruction including:
- 30 hours of Appraisal Principles
- 30 hours of Appraisal Procedures
- 15 hours of Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice
To become a certified residential appraiser you must complete the trainee apprenticeship, then complete an additional 125 hours of instruction and pass the state exam.
You must have at least 2 years of college coursework to become an appraiser.
